Problem Note 58290: "... Invalid authorization specification" occurs when you assign a Netezza engine library to a Netezza server that uses Kerberos authentication

When you assign a Netezza engine library to a Netezza server, you might see the following error:
The problem occurs if the Netezza server uses Kerberos authentication.
The SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza engine always passes the user ID in lowercase, regardless of how the user ID is specified in the Netezza LIBNAME statement. When the Netezza server is set up for Kerberos authentication, the user ID is case sensitive, so the error occurs when you try to open the Netezza Library.
To allow for user IDs that are uppercase or mixed case, use the SAS_NETEZZA_PRESERVE_USER=YES option. Use this option either as an environment variable or within a SAS session using the OPTION SET statement.
